Indoor Water Parks in New Jersey

Indoor water parks are a relatively new resort concept. Located in Wisconsin, the first water park was built in the United States in 1989. New Jersey has two indoor water parks -- although there are 13 various outdoor water parks -- that are great vacation destinations for local residents and out-of-state tourists alike.

  1. CoCo Key Water Resort

    • CoCo Key Water Resort is located at the Marriott hotel in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, which is about 30 minutes south of Trenton, the New Jersey state capital. CoCo Key is housed in a 55,000 square foot facility which is kept at a balmy 84 degrees F. There are several rides and attractions at CoCo Key, including a winding tube ride called Coconut Grove, as well as three different large water slides. The Dip In Theater is a shallow pool that sits near a large video screen where the resort often shows movies and hosts various activities.

Planning Your New Jersey Indoor Water Park Trip

    • Trips to an indoor water park are fun experiences that can be enjoyed by all members of the family. When traveling to an indoor water park, however, some planning should be involved to ensure that the trip is as enjoyable as possible. Vacationers should plan activities outside of the water park to maximize the time spent on their trip. Pack supplies for the time that is spent in the water park, such as towels, pool shoes and cover ups.
