How to Find the Waterfalls in Central Park

More than 20 million people visit Central Park every year, according to the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation. Most of them never see the romantic waterfalls hidden away by the thick vegetation. Some of the five waterfalls in Central Park offer no more than a trickle of water over rocks while others drop well over 30 feet. The two most impressive waterfalls lie on opposite sides of the park: "The Lochs" falls in the northern end and "The Pond" falls in the southern end of the park.
