Locate the police department on your street map. It is in the center of Heidelberg. You can find it on the corner of Römerstraße and Eppelheimer Straße. It is just three blocks to the west of the main train station, the Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof, and north of Kurfürstenanlage, a main thoroughfare.
Take the S-bahn to the Hauptbahnhof Station and walk three blocks to the west on Kurfürstenanlage, the major street, then one block north on Römerstraße. It is a huge white building that will be on your left.
Take the tram to either the Römerstraße or Stadtbücherei station. The tram will drop you off either directly in front of or behind the police department, depending on which stop you choose, if for some reason you do not want to take the S-bahn.
