    • Wave Country, a part of Nashville's Parks and Recreation Department, is open every day during the summer, including holidays such as Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day. After Labor Day, the park is only open on weekends. Among the rides available at Wave Country are two speed slides, including one that drops 40 feet down a steep incline with an extra 40 feet of gliding fun. Three water flumes provide exciting twists and turns before depositing the swimmer into the pool. The wave pool has regulated wave action that replicates authentic wave action. When children come out of the water they have a playground waiting. Concessions are available.
