The Jardin d'Acclimatation is a children's amusement park in the Bois de Bologne in western Paris. It opened in 1860 as a zoo, and later showcased exotic humans from distant lands in a sort of human zoo, as was the fashion in the beginning of the 20th century. Today the Jardin d'Acclimatation features rides and activities for kids, including puppet shows, pony rides and a small zoo. The most fun way to get to the Jardin d'Acclimatation is to take the mini old-fashioned train from the Porte Maillot metro station.
