The Children's Museum of the Treasure Coast isn't the kind of museum where kids are supposed to tiptoe around valuable items without touching anything. Instead, kids are encouraged to use their hands while exploring the museum, which is modeled after a Florida town. At the market area, kids can pretend they're shopping for food, learn about recycling and discover the four types of taste. Other areas allow kids to learn about architecture, play on a replica beach and learn about their body. The museum opened in August 2008, and it plans to gradually add more exhibits.
