Miami, Florida is a family-friendly city that is surrounded by beaches. This fun-filled city has many attractions, including those exclusively for children of all ages. Miami has an alligator farm, historic sites, a planetarium, many water activities and countless fun attractions. The city is visited year-round by many people; however, it is especially inviting in the summer.
  1. Miami Seaquarium

    • The Miami Seaquarium is a 38-acre marine-life entertainment park where you will find killer whales, sea lions and dolphins flying through the air and doing tricks. The shows include a dolphin show, sea lion show, and a dolphin and killer whale show. The Seaquarium opened in 1955 and the shark presentation was one of the main attractions, in which animal care specialists feed sharks and give information about eat one. Other exhibits in the park are the stingray exhibit, crocodile flats and a Caribbean fish aquarium. The park also has a dolphin harbor, a pirate playground and remote controlled cars and boats.

    Jungle Island

    • The Jungle Island is located between South Beach and Downtown Miami. It is home to 1,100 tropical birds and 2,000 varieties of flowers and plants. Jungle Island has many exhibits of other animals as well, including tigers, crocodiles, kangaroos and many more. La Playa, a private beach, is also located inside Jungle Island. At this beach you can sit under an umbrella while sipping a drink or have a swim. Children can play on the inflatable bounce house or giant water slide. Jungle Island also has a Treetop Ballroom that can host weddings, birthday parties, picnics and corporate events.

    Grapeland Water Park

    • The Grapeland Water Park is home to a wonderful water adventure for children of all ages. The park has four individual water zones designed for children. The Shipwreck Park is for children five and under, as it has shallow water. The Pirate's Plunge is for children six and older and has many water slides. Captain's Lagoon is just a huge pool with no slides for bathers to relax in. The Buccaneer River Ride is a lazy river and the river does the work for you, just grab a tube and relax. The water park also offers swim lessons for all ages, given by American Cross certified lifeguards. Birthday parties and group reservations can be made by calling the office. Group rates are also available for groups of 15 or more.
