    Golf

    • Breckenridge Golf Club is a 27-hole facility designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus. The interesting part is that the course is owned by the city, making it the only city in the world to own a Nicklaus course, according to the city's website.

      The course has earned honors from "Colorado Golfer" magazine and "Golf Digest" magazine. There's no competition, either. Breckenridge Golf Club is the only golf course in Breckenridge.

    Breck 1080

    • Perhaps you don't like to ski, but you do like to snowboard. Well, Breckenridge has you covered with Breck 1080. This park features five different terrain parks and two half-pipes and is consistently rated as one of the best terrain parks in the nation, according to the city's website. This is a great place to drop off the budding snowboarder for the day, as the Breck has terrain courses for all levels.

    Snowmobiling and Dog Sledding

    • You can explore the Rocky Mountains around Breckenridge many ways, including by snowmobile and by dog sled. Good Times Adventures in Breckenridge offers both.

      Good Times allows you to use 40 miles of marked trails and take guided tours that provide views of the White River National Forest. If you want a taste of what the Iditarod Dog Sled race is like, you can mush with Siberian huskies through a 6-mile trail near the Swan River.

    • Breckenridge is built for tourists to spend money, as it features more than 200 different stores throughout the city. Some of the wares include a Christmas-themed store, natural foods, art galleries, bakeries and clothing boutiques. Some of these stores trade in native wares, including one that sells Navajo weavings.
