  1. Parque Central

    Museums

    • Families traveling with young children will want to check out Museo de los Ninos, a hands-on children's museum with a variety of interesting and educational displays. Visitors can visit a planetarium, learn about medicine, communication and more.

Museo de Arte Contemporaneo, in Parque Central, is home to some of the best examples of modern art in South America. The museum houses works by Botero and Picasso, as well as that of some of Venezuela's best-known artists.

    Iglesia de San Francisco

    Parque Nacional el Avila

    • Located in the mountains just outside the city of Caracas, Parque Nacional el Avila has over 120 miles of wooded hiking trails for nature lovers to enjoy.

    El Teleferico

Riders can enjoy magnificent views of Caracas as well as the beauty of the mountain. Keep in mind that temperatures on the mountain can be considerably cooler than in the city, so bring along a jacket.

    Hipodromo la Rinconada
