While a performance featuring the famous Las Vegas showgirls may be too mature for children, there are many other family-friendly shows available on the Strip. Anyone with a sweet tooth will also enjoy a trip to Ethel M Chocolate, located just seven miles from the Strip the confectionary offers free admission, samples and a behind-the-scenes view of the candy-making process.
Take a break from the casinos and plan a family excursion to admire the architectural wonders of Hoover Dam, which is located approximately 25 miles from Las Vegas. Go hiking in the scenic Red Rock Canyon, which is about 15 miles from the Strip, or have some fun boating, fishing or sightseeing at the Lake Mead National Recreation Area which is about 70 miles from Las Vegas.
