If you're in Logan in the summer on a Saturday, then you'll want to check out the Museum of Anthropology at Utah State University. Each Saturday features a different program or event, such as a program on the history of weather-related gods or a program detailing the human ear. The Discovery Museum is another option. This interactive museum lets kids learn more about science and technology. Either one is a nice break from the hot weather outside.

The Logan Aquatic Center provides summer swimming time. The center has three swimming pools: a leisure pool, a lap pool and a water slide pool. The water slide pool has two slides and is 3 foot deep at its deepest. Older kids might prefer the leisure pool with water fountains or the Olympic size lap pool, which has separate swimming lanes for laps. The Jensen Historical Farm is another great choice for kids in the summer. The farm features a petting zoo, picnic areas and has specific games and activities for kids.

If your children are interested in learning more about their heritage, take them to the Logan Family History Center. It is the second biggest genealogical museum in the state and is located in the Mormon Tabernacle. Your kids can look up their ancestors, learn more about family members and even find out what your last name means. If you're interested, you can stick around and hear the choir sing.
