Pack your swimsuit. No trip to Vegas is complete without spending some time in the desert sun. Grab your suit, shades and sunscreen and head out to the pool deck to enjoy and adult beverage at least once while you're there.
Define a color palette. Regardless of your activity plan, you'll likely change your mind once you get there. If you choose a palette, then your clothes can easily dress up and down to suit your activity. Stick to basics like black and white or tan and blue. Select basics, such as jeans, a light sweater, a few tops and a dress for women or nice slacks and shirt for men to make sure you've got a good selection.
Pack accessories. Similar to the color palette you choose for your clothes, choose a focus for your accessories. For women, choose crystal and silver or turquoise and gold. Simple, but effective to dress up a simple top and jeans. For men, focus on watches, belts and ties (if appropriate) that can make a dressier statement when necessary, or be relaxed and go with the flow.
Make sure you've got a good set of shoes and workout gear stashed in your case. After all the buffets, cocktails and fun, you may want a meditative workout to cleanse your system.
Grab some walking shorts and a light sweater. It's fun to walk the Strip and with the desert weather, shorts are a year round option. But if you head inside, you're likely to feel the chill of the AC, so make sure you've got a sweater to wrap around your shoulders. No one wants to be distracted while placing a bet.
