For example, the route from Buffalo, New York, to Cleveland, Ohio, is mainly on Interstate 90, so by considering highway driving time and very little city driving time, the average speed will be around 60 mph.
Divide the distance by the average speed to arrive at travel time. In the example, 190 miles divided by 60 mph equals 3.16 hours.
Convert any decimal to minutes. Multiply the decimal by 60 and divide by 100. In the example, 16 * 60 equals 960, which, divided by 100, equals 9.6 minutes.
