Cruise Packing List for Men

Many men enjoy hitting the seas and catching some rays while visiting exotic locations on a cruise. If you are preparing to set sail on an adventure of this type, take care to pack all the tools you will need to make your trip as comfortable as possible. By putting some thought into which belongings you plan to take on your trip, you can avoid over-packing while still not leaving home without something necessary.
  1. Passport

    • On most cruises, you will visit ports of call outside of the United States. To ensure that you are ready to gain access to these exotic places, pack your passport, as you will need this document for proof of identity.

    Camera

    • You will likely see sights worthy of capturing on film while on your cruise. Pack a standard film camera, or a digital alternative, to ensure you can snap pics of these beautiful sights. Consider selecting a waterproof camera so that you can take images while exploring underwater life as well.

    Ports of Call Guidebooks

    • Prepare yourself to make the most of your stops by educating yourself on each of the ports of call you will visit. Buy a guidebook for each port of call, and grab the proper information-rich text before exiting the ship at each stop.

    Swim Trunks

    • Whether in the ocean or in an on-ship pool, you will likely want to take a dip during your cruise. To ensure that you have the proper attire for this pastime, pack some swim trunks.

    Daywear

    • Fill your suitcase with your favorite shorts and t-shirts. If you are going on a fall or winter cruise, also pack some warmer clothing in case the temperatures take a dive.

    Dinner-Time Dress up Garments

    • Formal dress is required for dinner attendance on some cruises. Pack several suits or, if your cruise is very formal, a tuxedo. Stow these items in a garment bag to ensure that they don't become wrinkled during travel.

    Toiletries

    • Fill a toiletries bag with all the odds and ends you require to get ready each morning. Include deodorant, soap, shampoo, conditioner and shaving supplies in your toiletries bag, so you have everything you need to get and stay clean while at sea.

    Medications

    • Pack any prescription medications that you take regularly, along with over-the-counter medications that you often turn to. Take special care to include pain reliever and motion sickness pills in your medication collection in case the turbulent sea gets the best of you while on your excursion.
