China Airlines Baggage Limits

China Airlines' baggage limits vary depending on which class of ticket you hold. You not only have to take into account how many pieces of luggage you have at check in, but also the weight and dimensions of each piece.
  1. First Class and Business

    • You may check in two pieces of luggage for free. The weight limit is 70 pounds per bag. Height, width and length measurements of each bag must not exceed 62 inches. Carry on baggage limit is two pieces and each piece must not exceed 15 pounds. Bag dimensions must not exceed 22 x 14 x 9 inches. Garment bags must not exceed 7.9 inches when folded.

    Economy

    • You may check in two pieces of luggage for free. The weight limit is 50 pounds per bag. Height, width and length measurements of each bag must not exceed 62 inches. The three dimensions of both bags must not exceed 107 inches. Carry on baggage limit is one piece and must not exceed 15 pounds.

    Infants

    • First class, business and economy allows one extra piece of baggage for infants. The weight limit must not exceed 22 pounds. Height, width and length measurements must not exceed 45 inches. You may also check in a fully collapsible stroller in addition to the extra infant bag.

    Loyalty Program Members

    • Paragon card members are allowed the addition of two extra pieces of luggage for all cabin classes. Gold card and Emerald card members are allowed one extra piece of luggage for all cabin classes.

    Recommendations

    • China Airlines recommends you use proper luggage to avoid damage to your belongings. Make sure you have an identification label on your luggage so they can return it to you in the event of misplacement.
