Organize clothes in the RV's cubbies and drawers. Pack light with mix-and-match clothing so everything will fit. Bring jackets and clothing that can be worn in layers to cover all weather situations.
Stock the bathroom with toiletries at the beginning of the camping season. Necessities like toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, soap, a small first aid kit, shampoo and conditioner can be stored in their original containers. If space is at a premium, consider purchasing travel size toiletries. A laundry basket can be placed in the bathtub to hold gear during travel.
Pack kitchen supplies in smaller containers for the trip. Large amounts of flour and sugar won't be needed for a shorter trip and kitchen space is at a premium in most RV's. Snacks and chips can be purchased in individual packages and can be stashed wherever space is available.
Place paper towels or small rubber pads between each layer of dishes or pans to prevent breakage and movement when on the road. Dish pans can be stored in the sink and filled with items that might roll around during travel. Extra pots and pans can be stashed in the oven while on the road.
Pack lawn chairs, outdoor games and equipment like toolboxes in the RV's outdoor storage area. This area is accessed from the outside of the RV through lockable doors. Larger objects like bikes and strollers can be attached to the rear of the RV with bungee cords.
Bring toys and games for small children to play with during travel and on rainy days. Cards and board games will also make the experience more enjoyable for adults on rainy days.
