After you get married in England or Wales, you need to register your marriage with the local superintendent registrar's office. You have 28 days to do this.

Scotland
After you get married in Scotland, you need to register your marriage with the registrar's office in the district where your marriage took place. You have 15 days to do this.

Northern Ireland
After you get married in Northern Ireland, you need to register your marriage with the General Register Office (GRO). You have 28 days to do this.
