These individuals have the authority to administer oaths, affirmations and declarations in connection with any matter or proceeding that is required or authorised by law.
In addition, the following persons are also authorised to administer oaths in Scotland:
* Scottish solicitors who are not practising
* Scottish advocates
* Scottish chartered accountants
* Scottish members of the Association of Certified Public Accountants
* Scottish members of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators
These individuals are authorised to administer oaths in connection with any matter or proceeding that is related to their professional practice.
