A citizen of the United States planning to enter New Guinea must have a passport with at least six months of validity left, a visa, an onward/return airline ticket and proof of sufficient funds for the visit.
A business or tourist visa, valid for 30 days, is available upon arrival at the Jacksons International Airport in Port Moresby.
If arriving from an area infected with yellow fever in the last five days, an International Certificate of Vaccination for yellow fever is required.
All United States citizens must present a valid passport for entry or re-entry into the United States. There are no exceptions.
