Print and complete the Sudanese Visa Application Form (see Resources).
Prepare to submit a signed passport along with a recent 2- by 2-inch photograph in color. It must show a front view of yourself and be taken against a plain/light background. Ensure that the passport remains valid for at least six months beyond your planned stay in Sudan.
Obtain an official invitation from a Sudanese sponsor that explains your relationship with them and the purpose of your trip. Sponsors can include relatives, friends and companies based in Sudan. Details required in the letter are the length of your stay, place of stay and personal contact information.
Ask your sponsor to then register your visit with the Foreign Ministry in Sudan. The Ministry sends the official invitation directly to the Sudanese Consulate.
Provide a flight itinerary or a copy of an airline ticket as proof of departure. Also provide a copy of your confirmed hotel or cruise reservation if they apply. Otherwise, a letter from a hosting relative or friend is required if they are providing your accommodations.
Have your signed application and official documents submitted personally to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sudan. Include all payments indicated in the paperwork; your sponsor, employer, business partner, hotel or travel agency in Sudan are all eligible candidates for taking your application to the Ministry.
Allow four to six weeks for your visa to be processed. Rush delivery and emergency service may be available at an additional cost.
