Instructions

    • 1

Lighten up. Ski gear is so advanced these days that there is no longer a need for big and bulky ski clothes. Instead they are made with thin material that still offers the same warmth and insulation.

    • 2

Buy yourself a pair of awesome and lightweight ski pants. Today they are more than stylish but they are also waterproof and comfortable. Remember when you would wear these clothes and feel like a snowman? Those days are gone.

    • 3

Pack away the standard black ski pants and get yourself a pair of trendy white ones. White pants look fantastic against the blue sky.

    • 4

Wear goggles instead of sunglasses. Not only do they offer better protection but they are more compact and streamlined.

    • 5

Replaced by base layers, say goodbye to the traditional "underwear" that skiers used to wear. Base layers keep modern day skiers warm and dry next to skin. These are designed to transport heat and comfort stealing moisture away from the body, out to the thermal layer.

    • 6

Wear only one pair of good socks. Layers are good for your upper and lower body but are not good for your feet. More than one pair of socks prevent free movement of your toes and therefore reduce blood circulation making your feet cold.

    • 7

Wear warm, waterproof gloves or mittens to protect your hands from the elements. Your gloves should be such that they should not cut off the circulation from your fingers and at the same time should be tight enough that you can comfortably grasp your poles.
