How to get From Virginia to the Statue of Liberty
To visit the Statue of Liberty in New York Harbor requires a ferry ride from either New Jersey or New York City. The round trip ticket allows the visitor to stop at both Liberty Island and Ellis Island, where the Ellis Island Immigration Museum can be found. When driving, because of traffic congestion in New York City, access to a Liberty Island ferry is simplest by going from New Jersey's Liberty State Park.
