Guam is considered to be U.S. territory; there aren't any restrictions for American travelers. However, you should show proof of citizenship--such as a passport, birth certificate or other form of identification--when entering Guam.
U.S. citizens do not need a visa to enter any U.S. territory. Also, you will not need to exchange money because U.S. dollars are the accepted form of currency in Guam.
In order to enter the country, Guam regulations do not require you to present a return ticket to the U.S. Also, if you are traveling from the U.S. to Guam and back, you do not need to show a passport; you can use an alternate form of ID.
Before entering Guam, it's a good idea to take precautions against hepatitis, diptheria, tetanus and typhoid fever. However, Guam does have one major hospital, several private clinics and many pharmacies if you have any health problems.
When entering Guam, you must have authorization for any plants, flowers, fruits and vegetables you intend to bring with you. Also, be careful about bringing in prescription medication; you should bring a physician's note with you just in case.
