How to Update My Visa Information

Visas allow foreign citizens to enter the U.S. legally. There are two types of visas. Noncitizens use nonimmigrant visas to visit the country temporarily. Individuals wishing to move the U.S. permanently obtain immigrant visas. When you apply for a visa, you enter personal information, such as name and address. If this information changes, you must notify U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services within 10 days of moving. The fastest way to do that is by updating the online form that the USCIS provides.
