Visit the TGV Europe website. Tickets for TGV services in continental Europe go on sale three months in advance and if you plan to travel on the Eurostar -- between France, Belgium and the United Kingdom -- you can buy your ticket up to four months before you travel.
Enter the information required about your journey. This includes destination, date of departure, number of people traveling and whether you would like to travel first or second class.
Select the most appropriate journey from the options provided. Ensure you have entered all the details correctly before moving to the payment area.
Select your seat. All seats on the TGV service are allocated, so when you board the train you will already have your own seat.
Choose a method of collection. TGV offers free home delivery if you are booking more than seven days before you plan to travel. You can also choose to collect your ticket from a railway station, from a Boutique Rail Europe shop or you can print your ticket at home.
Pay for your tickets using either a Carte Bleu (a French bank card), Visa, Mastercard or American Express.
Go to the ticket desk in a main railway station in France.
Tell the member of staff when you would like to travel and when you want to go. You will also need to indicate how many people will be traveling and whether you would like to travel in first or second class.
Choose from the options given to you by the member of staff. Check all the details are correct before you pay for the tickets. The member of staff will print the tickets for you. Keep them safe until your journey.
