How to Travel With Kids on Spring Break

Celebrate spring with a family fun vacation. Plan a trip that gives lasting memories or starts a new tradition. Family vacations can be enjoyable, adventurous and memorable, but most of all traveling with kids on Spring Break is an expedition of excitement.

Instructions

    • 1

Prepare an agenda for your trip including where you will go, how long it will take to get there, how you will be there and what you will see or do once you get there.

    • 2

Get the kids involved in trip ideas. Ask your kids to plan out special things to do while on vacation.

    • 3

Make a "Travel Map" and appoint each kid as the navigator during each part of the trip.

    • 4

Establish the rules. Rule number one should be having fun. After all, that's the main priority of the trip. Make rules that apply to your family and the age of your kids.

    • 5

Make a deposit jar and give each kid a roll of quarters. If they act up or break the rules, they must pay you a quarter per disobeying act. At the end of the trip let them pick out a special item to buy, depending on how much money they have left.

    • 6

Assign special roles to each child. Depending on their age, ask one child to be the photographer, another as the video recorder and another as the scrapbook and memorabilia collector.

    • 7

Collect memorabilia for a family scrapbook. Gather tickets, brochures, pictures and much more to make a family fun scrapbook when you get home.

    • 8

      Pack family favorite snacks.

    • 9

Make fun packs for each kid prior to trip. Pack special things in each kids' back pack that they enjoy.
