Uganda is known as the 'pearl of Africa' for its scenery and rich array of cultures and tribes. Because of its location, where the East African savannah and the West African jungle meet, there is an interesting mix of wildlife, including lions, chimps and hippos.

Economic downturn in other countries dramatically effect tourism and travel in Uganda, which accounts for 25 percent of its annual export earnings. The tourism industry accounts for 20 percent of jobs in Uganda, the largest of all sectors of the economy.
