The Urban Zoo summer camp introduces children ages six through 12 to the world of pet ownership and care. The camp lasts a week and, each day, children learn about a different type of pet, including larger mammals like cats and dogs, smaller animals like mice and hamsters, exotic birds, fish and reptiles. Children enjoy hands-on experience with animals in a safe environment so, when camp is completed, each child has a good understanding of how to properly handle and care for common pets.
