Piper Club is an interesting nightspot because of its rich history. It was originally opened in February 1965 and has remained open over the years, even throughout economic crisis and political struggle. Rome's Piper Club is themed after the arts. It boasts two original works of art by Andy Warhol, as well as art by other famous artists such as Shifano, Piero Manzoni, and Mario Waist. Piper Club has transformed over the years from a disco in the 1970s to a rap and dance club in the 1980s, techno in the 1990s and a mix of genres in the 2000s. Piper Club hosted a selection of new indie bands such as Cat Power, the Editors, Feist, Michelle Branch and many others. Many celebrities are also known to frequent Piper Club; Kurt Cobain of Nirvana even visited in the 1980s.

From the outside, Supperclub is so discreet that you may walk right by it. Located in a restored mansion down a side alley, it is unmarked to make it even more mysterious. Inside, however, Supperclub is as far from discreet as you can get. Filled with staff in outrageous costumes, colorful furniture, lush fabrics and unheard-of drinks, the goal of this club is to be as non-traditional as possible. The club was opened in Amsterdam, and now has clubs in London, Singapore, Istanbul, Los Angeles, San Francisco and, of course, Rome. Frequented by celebrities, fashionistas and the super-trendy, Supperclub is a place you must visit when in Rome.
