Determine how much you would lie to spend. There are currently two options for beginning your journey from Cancun to Cozumel--the aiport bus or a taxi van, both of which take you to Playa del Carmen and are available throughout the day. The airport bus will run approximately $3 while the taxi van will charge around $15.
Book your ticket to Playa del Carmen. These services are available at the exit doors of the Cancun baggage claim area.
Board and depart. The airport bus leaves on scheduled hourly increments with the full schedule being available at the ticket booth. The van will depart once full and may be shared with other passengers.
Walk towards the ferry dock. The bus will drop you off in downtown Playa del Carmen. It will be a short 10-minute walk to the pier.
Purchase your ferry ticket. Tickets may be purchased at the booth adjacent to the bus drop-off or at the booth at the pier. Both are conveniently located along your walk towards the waterfront.
