Choose a place to stay that's centrally located to the types of wineries you most want to see. They're all relatively close so it's hard to go wrong.
Hire a driver through the hotel or one of the services offering wine tours. This is the safest and most relaxed way to go about it, no getting lost and no worries over too much wine.
Call ahead to the wineries you wish to visit, appointments are recommended. If using a guide service, they should take care of this.
Plan an afternoon meal at one of the wineries offering a full menu. Relax, lunch will take a while.
