While the Conecuh National Forest (fs.usda.gov) does not offer any designated ATV trails, licensed off-road vehicles are permitted on all national forest roads that are open for public travel. Several entrances and a map of open roads are available from the Conecuh Ranger District Office in Andalusia, Alabama, or download them from the Forest Service website. No entrance fees are charged.
Located on the Conecuh river, Bullpen ATV Park (atvbullpen.webs.com) offers over 450 acres of mud and dirt riding trails as well as fishing and primitive camping. The park is open most weekends, and passes are available for the entire weekend or on a daily basis for a fee.
About a 25-minute drive outside of Evergreen, Southern Ridge (southernridgeatvtrails.com) offers one of the largest mud pits in the sport. If you prefer, journey down one of the numerous riding trails, passing through swamps and creeks before heading back to base where ATV wash stations, bathrooms and showers await. There's a full service concession stand and 35 RV sites with full hook-ups. If you prefer roughing it, primitive camping is free, but Southern Ridge charges admission.
Boggs and Boulders (boggsandboulders.com) strives to offer something for every ATVer. Located on 850 scenic acres, the riding trails feature hills, timberland and pastures and it is not unusual to spot roaming cattle or buffalo. Park rates are for weekend entrance. The park also offers caves, a swimming hole the size of three Olympic pools that is fed by a natural mineral spring. RV campsites are also available with full electric, water and a dumpstation.
