ATV Trails Near Meridian, Mississippi

With its nine historic districts and neighborhoods, Meridian, Mississippi was home to a Civil War military hospital and a confederate arsenal. There are plenty of attractions to visit like the Jimmie Rodger's Museum, who is considered the "father of country music," and the Confederate Cemetery, along with a number of nearby trails and outdoor activities to enjoy near Meridian.

  1. Meridian OHV Park

    • With 800 acres of land given to the Meridian Motorcycle Association by the City of Meridian, it is the only park in the U.S. operated on municipality land. Maintained and operated by the MMA and the city, the park has more than 25 miles of trails that twist and turn along every kind of terrain you can think of, including muddy, dusty, open and wooded. ATV, dirt bike and motorcycle riders are welcome to enjoy the park for a day or camp on the grounds. You must become a member of MMA to enjoy the park. Forms are available online.

    Little Tiger ATV Trail

    • Maintained by the National Forest Service in Mississippi, Little Tiger ATV trail is 12 miles of ATV riding with trail head parking and small daily admission fee. This trail, about 40 miles south of Meridian, is open year long. However, they do close if the ground is too wet. You can call the hotline, (601) 428-5118, before you go to make sure the trail is open. There are restrooms available and riding is only permitted during the day.

    Rocks Bottom Offroad ATV Park

    • About 50 miles west of Meridian, just outside of Forest, Mississippi, Rocks Bottom ATV Park, located on 550 acres of private land, has more than 20 miles of trails varying from winding hills to wooded areas to a large swampy land. There are also two 30 by 150 foot pits to challenge yourself and your ATV as well as the quarter mile Rocks Bottom "Super Serpent" for the truly adventurous. Concessions and parking are available.
