If you thought Las Vegas was exciting from the strip, then maybe you haven't experienced one of its restaurants located hundreds of feet above the ground. You'll find casual and fine dining restaurants in Las Vegas with observation decks that offer spectacular views of the city. Dine in one of these restaurants and you'll know why Las Vegas is nicknamed the "Entertainment Capital of the World."
Top of the World and Tower Pizzaria are located in the Stratosphere Casino, Hotel and Tower. According to its website, the 1,149-foot-tall tower is the tallest freestanding observation tower in the U.S. and features indoor and outdoor observation decks. The Eiffel Tower on the Las Vegas strip, a smaller replica of the original in Paris, has an observation deck and is home to the Eiffel Tower Restaurant.
The Stratosphere offers indoor and outdoor observation decks; the former offers views of the city from air-conditioned comfort, while the latter has viewfinders and thrill rides including "X-Scream," which propels you headfirst, 27 feet over the building's edge. More than 800 feet above the ground, Top of the World rotates 360 degrees every 80 minutes.
A glass elevator takes you to the 11th floor to the Eiffel Tower Restaurant, where you'll be seated in a dining room with panoramic views of Las Vegas. Enjoy your meal as you take in the views of the mountains as well as the lights and attractions of the Strip.
Top of the World is an award-winning restaurant that serves lunch and dinner. Its menu features fresh seafood, steaks, sandwiches and salads. Signature dishes include Colorado rack of lamb and seared muscovy duck breast with orange and lime hoisin sauce. Tower Pizzaria serves thin- and thick-crust pizzas, ciabatta melt sandwiches, handmade calzones, and stromboli and oven-baked ziti. As you might expect, the Eiffel Tower Restaurant serves classic French cuisine with specialties such as the grand seafood platter, beef wellington, caviar, slow-roasted salmon and roast rack of lamb.
Top of the World offers private dining rooms with views for parties of 10 or more. Customized options are served by a private wait staff and special requests are accommodated. The Eiffel Tower Restaurant has a glass-enclosed, semi-private dining room for up to 30 and another semi-private dining room for up to 70. Menus for private events are customizable. Audio visual equipment may also be requested.
