Carry-On Regulations on Horizon Airlines

Horizon Airlines, part of Alaska Air, is a regional airline, serving 45 cities in the Northwest and West. With smaller airplanes and therefore less room for baggage, it is important to know what and how much you can bring onboard when you fly.
  1. Number and Size Allowances

    • You are allowed one carry-on bag and one personal item. Personal items include purses, briefcases or computers. Your carry-on bag must be no more than 10 inches by 17 inches by 24 inches, including the wheels and handles. Customers who exceed the number of free carry-on items may be charged a $25 fee per piece.

    Item Restrictions

    • As of November 8, 2010, printer or toner cartridges that are 16 ounces or larger are no longer allowed, either in your carry-on or in checked baggage. Liquids, gels and aerosols must meet TSA guidelines and fit in one quart-sized zippered bag and be no more than 3.4 ounces each. If you are carrying spare lithium batteries, these must be in your carry-on and not in your checked baggage.

    Exceptions

    • Certain items are exempt from the carry-on limits and you may bring them free of charge in addition to your one carry-on and one personal item. You may bring coats, hats and umbrellas onboard. You may also bring child or infant seats, strollers, medical or assistive devices, service animals (with proper documentation), food that you will eat onboard and a pillow.
