Horizon Airlines Carry-On Guidelines

Horizon Air was created in 1981 after major irlines stopped offering air service within the northwestern United States. The airline became part of Alaska Air Group, Inc. in 1986. The airline provides service to more than 45 cities in California, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, British Columbia and Alberta.
  1. Allowances

    • All passengers on Horizon Airlines are allowed one carry-on bag in the cabin, along with one personal item. Personal items can include purses, briefcases or laptop computers.

    Size Requirements

    • Carry-on items must be no larger than 10 inches high, 17 inches wide and 24 inches long. These dimensions include the wheels and handles, if any. There are no size requirements for the personal item other than it must be stored under the seat in front of the passenger.

    Additional Notes

    • Because Horizon Airlines uses small aircraft, cabin cargo space is limited. If there is not enough space inside the cabin of the plane, carry-on bags must be checked, but there is no additional charge for carry-on items checked at the gate.
