Chicago-based United Airlines Corporation owns and operates United Airlines which uses Chicago-O'Hare Airport as its major hub. The airline helped found the Star Alliance of major airlines that now serves markets in 175 countries. United employs 46,000 people worldwide and 40 percent of its flights serve international markets. Together with its affiliate United Express, UA operates over 3,000 flights daily and covers over 200 destinations.
