List of American Domestic Airlines

According to the Air Transport Association, the commercial airline industry in the United States supports 11 million jobs and brings $1.2 trillion into the economy each year. Major domestic airlines serve passengers traveling within the U.S. and overseas while low-cost carriers compete with trains, buses and the automobile for travelers who make short trips. Major airports serve as hubs for airlines and the industry continues to bounce back from problems caused in part by high gasoline prices in 2008.
