How to Change or Cancel Airline Tickets

Sometimes you have to change or cancel your airline ticket due to situations that are out of your control. Most airlines and travel agencies have specific policies and guidelines on exchanging and canceling tickets, and unfortunately you will most likely either lose the money you purchased the ticket with, or have to pay an additional fee to change it. If you must change or cancel your airline ticket, you have to go through the airline or travel agency's ticket cancellation or exchange process.

  Click on "My trips," "Itinerary" or similar wording, depending on what travel agency or airline website you visit.

  Click the "Change or cancel tickets" button or anything similarly worded. Follow the onscreen instructions to change or cancel your tickets, or call the number of the travel agency or airline company. The process will vary with each travel agency or airline website.
