A long flight can be grueling, especially if you're not a fan of flying. To enjoy your next trip onboard a plane, follow these steps.
Ask for a pillow before takeoff. Even if you don't need one immediately, you likely will, and pillows are in limited supply.
Insist that you do not want to sit near the restroom. If placed in this location you will be distracted by the constant line of people standing next to you.
Get an aisle seat if you are likely to get up often, whether to stretch or use the restroom.
Request a window seat if you prefer to sleep undisturbed near the window.
Take a toothbrush, toothpate and face wash in your carry-on bag to feel fresh and clean.
Fix your posture. Support your spine with a rolled blanket and support your head and neck with a pillow. Another pillow or blanket rolled to prop up your feet will relieve pressure on your legs.
Take reading material. Magazines are lighter than books, and you can pack a larger variety of them.
