Locate your RV ladder. The RV ladder is likely the best and easiest place for installing a flagpole.
Determine the height you will fly the flag and buy the PVC (Polyvinyl chloride) pipe length accordingly. If the pole is to be very tall, use metal poles in place of the PVC.
Measure your flag width.
Based on the width of the flag, drill holes into and through the PVC pipe at the point of the flag's metal eyelets.
Fasten the two eye hooks to the PVC pipe. Depending on the type of hooks used, either slide the flag onto the hooks or tie the flag through the eyelets to the eye hooks.
Clamp the pole to the ladder. The pipe clamps should be the same circumference as your ladder for ease of attachment and security of the pole. You can use many methods to attach the pole. Some use bungee cables and others drill into the ladder -- not recommended because it may damage the integrity of the ladder.
