Measure the length and width of the LCD TV's mounting bracket. Cut two pieces of 1/2-inch-thick plywood. The pieces should be 1 to 2 inches longer and wider than the LCD TV's mounting bracket.
Paint the plywood pieces the same color as the wall in the camper where the television will be mounted. Allow to dry for two hours. Painting the plywood pieces will create a seal and the pieces will be less likely to warp from changes in humidity.
Attach one piece of plywood to the side of the wall where the TV will be mounted. Screw in two drywall screws halfway, one in the center of the wood at the top and the other in the center of the bottom. Choose drywall screws that are long enough to go through two pieces of wood and the wall; 1 1/2 inch will work for most campers.
Attach the second piece of wood to the other side of the wall directly in the exact same position. Screw in two drywall screws halfway, one in the center of the wood on the left side and the other in the center of the right side.
Finish screwing in the drywall screws on the first piece of wood. The screws will now go through both pieces of wood and the wall. Repeat on the second piece of wood. The wood pieces are now securely attached to the wall and ready for the TV to be mounted.
Attach the television's mounting bracket following the manufacturer's instructions. Place the TV on the mount.
