How to Install an Entrance Door on an R.V.

An entrance door on your RV can keep out bugs and unwanted debris while allowing fresh air to flow throughout your unit. When installing a new entrance door on your RV, make sure that you accurately measure the rough opening. When ordering your door, make sure that the corners are the same as the original door, either square or round. Installing the RV entrance door is an easy, do-it-yourself project.

• New door
• Putty tape
• Putty knife
• Screwdriver
• Water

     Remove all old caulking or putty from the rough opening using the putty knife.

     Replace with new putty tape along the edge of the door.

   • 3

     Place the door into the rough opening.

   • 4

     Level the door.

   • 5

     Screw the door into the frame of the RV.

   • 6

     Run a line of putty along the exterior.

   • 7

     Wet your finger. Run it along the putty. Smooth it as you go along.
