RV Campsites around Amelia Island, Florida

RVers who plan a visit to Florida’s Amelia Island will find only one campground on the island itself, but a wide array of other RV parks and resorts are available within a 30-mile radius of Fernandina Beach, the island’s largest town. Located off the northeast coast of Florida, Amelia Island boasts more than 13 miles of Atlantic beachfront. Also located on the island are Fort Clinch State Park and the communities of Amelia City and Franklintown.
  1. Fort Clinch State Park Campground

    • Located at the northern tip of Amelia Island, this state park campground has water/electric hookups at all of its 61 sites, which are divided into two separate sections. The campground’s Amelia River section, which is shaded by ancient live oaks festooned with Spanish moss, has 40 sites, while the remaining 21 sites are located in the Atlantic Beach section. Each section has its own bathrooms, showers, dump station and laundry facilities. Maximum RV length is 35 feet.

    Country Oaks RV Park & Campground

    • This campground, located in Kingsland, Georgia, 25 miles from Fernandina Beach, has 44 shaded RV sites with full hookups; 18 of those are pull-throughs, able to accommodate larger rigs. Park amenities include free wireless Internet access, paved roads, a fishing pond, showers, restrooms, self-laundry facilities, horseshoe pits and picnic areas.

    Osprey First in Florida RV Park

    • Located near the intersection of U.S. Highway 17 and Interstate 95 in Yulee, Florida, this 73-site park is 13 miles from Fernandina Beach. Full hookups are available at all sites, all of which are pull-throughs, making this an ideal campground for larger rigs. Campground amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, cable TV, dump station, showers, restrooms, camp store and game room.

    Jacksonville/St. Marys KOA

    • This 85-site campground is located just over the state line in Kingsland, Georgia, 26.5 miles from Fernandina Beach. Sixty-one of its sites have full hookups, while water/electric only is available at the remaining 24 sites. A handful of sites are reserved for tent camping only. Onsite amenities include a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, pavilion/meeting room, free wireless Internet access and free cable TV. There are no specified limits on RV size or length of stay.

    Pecan Park RV Resort

    • This Jacksonville RV park, located 22 miles from Fernandina Beach, has 183 sites with full hookups, including cable TV and wireless Internet access. While the resort is convenient to Amelia Island, it is also a good spot from which to explore some of the attractions in the greater Jacksonville area. Other amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, clubhouse with kitchen, barbecue grills, convenience store and self-laundry facilities. The park is equipped to accommodate rigs of any size.
