Homemade Outside RV Lights

Walking around a campsite at night with no light can be dangerous. There is potential to walk into things, animals may be lurking, and it can be hard to find things. Lighting up a campsite is not difficult and you can make lights utilizing everyday objects. When you decide to light up your campsite, remember to be courteous -- you do not want to disturb other campers.
  1. Rope Lights

    • Rope lights work nicely around the site. Light the awning by attaching them to the awning tube and the awning arms when the awning is fully extended. They come in a variety of colors and will run off any normal electrical outlet. Buy clips to attach them to the awning.

    Ornaments

    • There are many sizes and shapes of garden decorations that have potential to provide outdoor light. Most of them are made out of plaster, plastic or wood. One option is to drill voltage solar lights into a lawn ornament and place the stem of the solar light into it. Place the ornament outside during the day and as they will automatically light up as it gets dark.

    Candles

    • Candles are another option. Buy battery-powered electric candles to light up your site or even the inside of your RV to conserve battery life. These candles can help you set the mood for a romantic or relaxing evening. You can put them in most type of candle holders and they come in a variety of wattage. The best part is that they stay lit for a long time until the battery runs out and you do not need to keep lighting them.
