How to Travel to Napa Valley by Train

While Napa Valley is only about an hour from San Francisco, it is not as accessible by train as you might think. The Bay area's BART system stops short of reaching Napa Valley, although you can make connections from BART to Napa via the Baylink Ferry. Local buses from Sonoma, Contra Costa and Lake Counties also make connections into Napa's own bus service. The Amtrak Capitol Corridor and California Zephyr train lines stop in Martinez, where Amtrak continues its service via bus into the Napa Valley.
