San Francisco Area RV Campgrounds

The 12th largest city in the United States as of July 2009, San Francisco is a prominent center for business, education, entertainment and the arts, particularly in northern California. For tourists, San Francisco offers numerous attractions, such as Alcatraz, Lombard Street, the Exploratorium and the Palace of Fine Arts.     • Candlestick RV Park is located adjacent to Candlestick Stadium, home of the NFL professional football team, the San Francisco 49ers. The campground consists of 165 sites for recreational vehicle camping as well as 24 spots reserved exclusively for tents. The RV spaces include 16 pull-throughs, which measure 15 feet by 47 feet in size. The remaining back-ins are 15 feet by 30 feet. Each site offers full water, electric and sewage hookups. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the campground. The campground offers restrooms, showers, public telephones and laundry facilities. A store on-site sells basic groceries, stamps, phone cards, souvenirs and propane. Campers can use the park's gameroom, which has a large screen television. The maximum length of all stays at the park is 28 days. Major credit cards are accepted.

    Treasure Island RV Park

    • Located in South San Francisco, Treasure Island RV Park is less than 11 miles from San Francisco (approximately 17 minutes away by automobile). The campground has 357 recreational vehicle campsites, of which 23 are reserved for overnight camping rather than long-term rentals. The sites are paved, have full patios and measure 22 feet by 30 feet in size. All of the spaces are back-ins, and tent camping is not permitted. Each space offers full electric, water and sewage hookups. The campground has restrooms, bathhouses and laundry facilities. Propane refills are available on-site. A picnic area is available for campers as well as a playground for children. Credit cards are not accepted.

    San Francisco RV Resort

    • San Francisco RV Resort is in Pacifica, approximately 13 miles from San Francisco (about 18 minutes by automobile). The campground features 182 paved campsites. Among them are 52 pull-throughs measuring 15 feet by 60 feet in size and 130 back-ins measuring 15 feet by 45 feet. Full water, electric and sewage hookups are provided at each site as well as cable television connections. Guests can access wireless Internet throughout the park. For guests' convenience, the campground has restrooms, showers, a sewage waste dump, public telephones and a laundry facility. RV supplies, drinks, souvenirs and propane gas are sold on-site. The campground overlooks the Pacific Ocean and also has a heated swimming pool, a hot tub and a playground. The campground accepts major credit cards.
