Camping in Crossville, TN

The town of Crossville, Tennessee got its name because it was established around a single store at the junction of the Great Stage Road and the Kentucky Stock Road. Today, Highways 68, 70, 127 and 101 intersect here along with I-40. Labeled "The Golf Capital of Tennessee," the area boasts 12 golf courses. The Cumberland County Playhouse, another local attraction, is the only major professional, nonprofit performing arts center in rural Tennessee. Visitors wishing to camp in the Crossville area can choose from several campgrounds.

    • While there are a number of RV sites and cabins for rent, Deer Run also offers tent sites to those simply interested in camping. Set up a tent by the 25-acre lake and enjoy the small beach that borders it. Amenities include a basketball court, tennis court, swimming pool, volleyball court, limited WiFi, play areas, picnic shelters, convenience store and deli.     Catoosa Ridge Stables and Campground

    • The Catoosa Ridge Stables and Campgrounds offers 30 tent sites, with optional stalls if you want to bring along your horse. The campground boasts extensive horseback and hiking trails with seasonal access to 90,000 acres of the Catoosa Wildlife Management Area. Some of the 50 miles of privately owned trails run along the No Business Creek. A lounge is on-site and cabins are avalable for rent.
