The Sure-Wood Forest Campground provides RV sites for five large RVs and two small campers. The campground provides full water and electric hookups and as of April 2010, nightly rates start at $21 per night. The Northforest Campground features lakefront RV sites with full 30-amp hookups. Northforest Campground offers nightly, weekly and monthly site rentals, starting at $30 per night, as of April 2010. Select sites at Terrace View Campsites offer water and electrical hookups. As of April 2010, RV sites start at $24 per night, with an additional charge of $2 per night for electricity.
Campers can choose from a number of campground features. Sure-Wood Forest Campground features showers, picnic tables, a swimming beach, laundry facilities, fire pits and boat docks. Guests can dock their own boats free of charge and canoes, fishing boats and pontoon boats are available to rent. Guests of Northforest Campground can enjoy such on-site activities as volleyball, tennis, basketball, horseshoes and baseball. Terrace View Campsites features a recreation room, boat launch, showers, fish cleaning facilities, a beach and a playground for the kids.
Wildlife enthusiasts can observe the many animals that call the Alice Lake area home, including ducks, deer, geese, Sandhill cranes and turkeys. Fishermen can cast a line on area lakes for bullhead, northern pike, muskie, walleye and largemouth and smallmouth bass. Additional outdoor activities include paddle boating, swimming, canoeing, biking, kayaking and hiking.
Sure-Wood Forest Campground, Northforest Campground and Terrace View Campsites are all located less than five miles from Tomahawk. Tomahawk features modern conveniences campers might need, such as grocery stores, restaurants and entertainment facilities. The campgrounds provides a convenient location for attending one of the many annual events, including the antique car show, stock car races, the Independence Day Pow Wow and the Harley Davidson charity ride for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
