Corp of Engineer Campgrounds in Texas

The U.S. Army Corp of Engineers supplies an estimated 34,000 soldiers and civilians to distribute engineering services in more than 90 countries across the world. These duties include strengthening U.S. security, creating technology for war fighters and protecting and restoring the environment. In 43 states, the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers manages 12 million public lands and 400 bodies of water. In Texas, the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers has constructed campgrounds for public use.
  1. Corp Park of Navarro Mills Lake: Liberty Hill Park

    • Liberty Hill Park sits on the Navarro Mills Lake southwest shore in the Fort Worth region north of Dawson, Texas This park features 99 sites with electricity and water, and three primitive sites without hookups. Only 14 sites have sewer hookups, and five campsites provide screen shelters. Campers have access to the marina, two boat ramps and playground. Activities include fishing on the dock and swimming along the beach. The campground allows pets, however, campers must keep their pets on a leash.

    Corp Park of Navarro Mills Oak Park

    • Situated along the northeastern banks of Navarro Mills Lake are 48 campsites. The park provides electricity and water. Facilities consist of a boat ramp, fishing pier and restrooms. The campground includes a playground and designated swimming space. Liberty Hill Park has a selected are for day-use with picnic tables, access to the beach and restrooms from April to September.

    Denison Dam Lake Texoma Texas and Oklahoma

    • Along the Denison Dam sits Lake Texoma recreation area. The Corps of Engineers Lake Texoma area features 10 diverse campgrounds with more than 600 campsites. The campground includes a 14-mile hiking trail and a 40-mile equestrian trail. The park offers 22 concessions that provide slip rental, boat rental and camping supplies.

      Campers fish for white crappie, blue catfish and channel catfish. The grounds offer two national wildlife refuges located in Texas and Oklahoma that span 30 acres. This refuge is home to ducks, wild turkey, bald eagles and other native wildlife.
