Located less than a mile from Salmon Harbor on Winchester Bay, this campground is centered around Lake Marie. This lake, with its small sand beach set aside for swimming, is also available for non-motorized boating and fishing. There are eight yurts available for rent, with the six deluxe yurts featuring their own bathroom, a kitchenette, TV/VCR and beds. Showers and restrooms are available. As of 2010, prices range from $36 for a basic yurt to $76 for a deluxe yurt during high season. Yurts sleep six people.

Valley of the Rogue Park campground lies along three miles of the shoreline on the Rogue River. A group meeting hall is available as well as numerous trails. The park is conveniently located to numerous attractions such as Crater Lake National Park, the Oregon Caves National Monument and more. The Rogue River was made famous by novelist Zane Grey. As of 2010, yurts are available year round for $36.

South Beach State Park has a pilot program for a pet friendly yurt. Take a kayak tour from nearby Ona Beach (five miles south), and explore the Beaver Creek area with a guide. Other activities include fishing, boating, crabbing, windsurfing and beachcombing. The Yaquina Bay Lighthouse, Hatfield Marine Science Center and the Oregon Coast Aquarium are all nearby. There are 27 yurts available for $40 (as of 2010) with one site (A-30) available for people with pets. Pet fee is $10 per night with a limit of two cats or dogs.
